Checksum Fix
There are 2 types of update:
The first being the pcmtuner front end, which is currently on its 1.2.7.
The second of course is the actual pcm-flash application to read/write ECUs.
Current work is in regards to mg1/md1, edc16, med9, and rover, which are all under going development and testing.
Pcmtuner software can be updated online continuously.
Software program will show you an Update available when a new version comes out.
Two Ways to Update Old KTM Bench/ KTM 3 In 1 to PCMtuner:
1. You are offered to buy PCMtuner Dongle alone, to update your KTM BENCH1.2 or KTM 3 in 1 to get new functions of PCMtuner
2. You can send the old dongle of KTM BENCH1.2 or KTM 3 in 1 to us to exchange dongle of PCMtuner
Some ECU must be read through OBD connection (common in modules 58, 53, 71). If you have removed these ECUs from car, you cannot directly read them on bench or boot mode.
You have to read these ECUs via OBD on bench mode. Connect pcmtuner ecu programmer with godiag gt105 breakout box and full protocol jumper cable.

Summary:
- FC200 has more protocol
- FC200 can only do checksum fix online, checksum won’t work if the subscription expires.
- FC-200 works only on Bosch ECUs, So for Magneti Marelli, Continetial or siemens pcmtuner is better
- If you want to used for dpf,egr, adblue off and remap, PCMTuner is better
- FC200 only some BMW ECU can be done via OBD
- PCMTuner v1.21 cannot do BMW ECUs (EDC17xx etc)
In conclusion, depends on what is the main purpose of your buy. FC-200 could be useful for BMW ISN from Ecu or maybe for some Ecu cloning, but only some of them because most of MEDC17 needs adaption of OTP and password or immo transfer for successful cloning. If the main purpose is Chip tuning, PCMTuner is a better buy because it can calculate checksums and it is cheaper.

8. How to Update PCMTuner Software?
There are 2 types of update:
The first being the pcmtuner front end, which is currently on its 1.2.5
The second of course is the actual pcm-flash application to read/write ECUs.
Current work is in regards to mg1/md1, edc16, med9, and rover, which are all under going development and testing.
Pcmtuner software can be updated online continuously.
Software program will show you an Update available when a new version comes out.
For example pcmtuner update to V1.2.5 on April 26th, 2022.
Update Log:
1) user can view serial number and expiry date, despite user account is inactive/expired/missing usb dongles
2) User can view latest news
