No, it cannot be used as gbox2.
It can be used in conjunction with your scan tool to do bench programming, simple to get pins to power up item one is programming out of car.
You can use it in conjunction with a gbox2 on the bench as a switched power source as well as the basic breakout box functions with voltage showing & possibly amps being drawn depending on which one you’ve got
